My Favorite A'than

I would like to share with you my favorite Adhan or Athan (call for prayers to the believers).

I recorded it myself while I was attending a lecture in Um Al Qora Mosque two years ago (exactly on 22/05/2010, in Al-Athaiba city). The lecture was delivered by Shaikh Khalid Al Abdali and was about the Teachings of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham). The first two (Allahu Akbar)s at the beginning of the Adhan are missing because I didn't expect to hear such a beautiful call; so I wasn't ready to record. You will hear someone coughing, that must be "Shaikh Khalid"!.

Here is the Adhan transliteration and translation:

الله أكبر الله أكبر

Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar 

Allah is The Greatest, Allah is The Greatest

أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله

Ash-hadu an-la ilaha illa llah

I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah

أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله

I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah

أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله

Ash-hadu anna Muħammadan-Rasulu llah

I bear witness that Mohammed is the Messenger of Allah

حي على الصلاة

Hayya 'ala s-salah

Come to prayers
